Your health and safety remain at the heart of everything we do. In the face of Covid-19, we have put in place the strictest health measures both on the ground and in flight to keep you protected at every step of your journey. Grouped under the label "Air France Protect", these measures are regularly adapted to evolutions in the health situation. To welcome you safely, all our teams on the ground and on board are equipped with surgical masks and respect strict protective measures.

Air France receives 4 stars in Skytrax's Covid-19 Airline Safety Rating

Skytrax's Covid-19 Airline Safety Rating evaluates the hygiene and safety measures implemented by airlines, both on board and at the airport. Air France received 4 stars in the audit carried out in December 2020 by Skytrax, an international air transport rating organization.

International travel requirements

Travel requirements may apply in your departure, transit and destination countries. Please make sure to check any requirements on TravelDoc before your departure.

If you need to present travel documents to leave or enter France (international travel certificate, health declaration), please download these documents from the Ministry of the Interior website.

France travel requirements

Special travel requirements apply for entry to and departure from Metropolitan France and the French Overseas Territories. Please consult the TravelDoc website for more information.

If you are traveling to Corsica, a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours is mandatory. No test is required on other domestic flights within France.

Local travel restrictions (curfew, lockdown) remain in effect across France due to the ongoing health situation. To travel within France during this period, you must present your ticket as well as a certificate for exceptional travel (attestation de déplacement dérogatoire) which can be downloaded from the Ministry of the Interior website.


COVID-19 TESTING INFORMATION

Does your destination require a Covid-19 test? You must confirm the type of test (PCR, antigen, LAMP, etc.); where and how to carry it out (laboratory, pharmacy, doctor, etc.); and the required language and validity period of the test results on the TravelDoc website.

Please note: even if you are vaccinated against Covid-19, you will still need to be tested if your destination requires it.

To limit traffic, access to Paris airports is restricted to travelers, and to persons accompanying minors or other travelers in need of special assistance.

  • When paired with our air recycling system, a surgical mask protects you even when physical distancing is not possible on board.

CABIN AIR RENEWED EVERY 3 MINUTES

  • Our aircraft are equipped with an air recycling system consisting of HEPA «High Efficiency Particulate Air» filters identical to those used in operating theatres, which trap 99.9% of particles.
  • The air in the cabin is therefore renewed every 3 minutes.


DAILY CLEANING AND REGULAR DISINFECTION

  • Vacuuming of carpets and all seats, as well as head covers
  • Cleaning and disinfection of all contact surfaces: trays, armrests, seat belts, entertainment screens, remote controls, overhead baggage racks, windows, door handles, etc.

On our long-haul flights, you will receive a personal sanitary kit. It includes a disinfectant wipe, a surgical mask and hand sanitizer. On all other flights, a disinfectant wipe is at your disposal as soon as you arrive on board.

Inflight service

For your safety, we are adapting our catering offer in all our cabins.

Air filtration in cabins

Our aircraft are equipped with an air filtration system consisting of High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters identical to those used in hospital operating rooms.

Cabin air is thus completely refreshed every 3 minutes. These filters eliminate more than 99.97% of bacteria and viruses, ensuring an excellent air quality in our cabins which fully complies with health standards.
